Jenna Deese continued to be a tough out Tuesday, collecting three hits to lead Monterey to an 11–5 win over Watsonville.
Monterey struck first in the opening inning with sacrifice flies from Khloe Deese and Ryanna Elliott before Bella Berry added an RBI single. Watsonville answered with a five-run second to take a 5–3 lead behind key hits from Isabella Ruiz and Esperanza Sigala.
The Toreadores responded in the fifth, flipping the game back in their favor. Deese sparked the rally with an RBI double, Elliott followed with a two-run single, and Kai Manglona added another run-scoring hit to make it 7–5.
Monterey continued to add on late while Nicole Seal went the distance in the circle, striking out seven. Deese and Anaiyah Brown each finished with three hits, while Elliott drove in three runs as Monterey’s offense regained control and pulled away.
